Information about Argentina

Due to its geographical location, Mendoza is benefited from its continental mild and semi-dry climate in most of the provincial area, thus generating agricultural development of food products with high phyto-sanitary quality.

Hand labour has enhanced this comparative advantage with know-how and technology, adding an extra value translated into a primary and industrial exportable offer of great competitive quality.

The hemispheric position of the province which means counter-season to the Northern Hemisphere enables many local producers to supply the main world markets.

Provincial exporters and public and private organizations invest resources in order to obtain registration in terms of the world-known quality certifications to follow the international laws and regulations required by the increasingly demanding world markets.

In addition to this, Mendoza is strategically located between Buenos Aires and Chile, the privileged link of the bioceanic corridors (Atlantic-Pacific corridor), through two mountain passes that connect to the main Chilean ports in the Pacific Ocean.

Consequently, the provincial government and the private sector invest large amounts of money to provide Mendoza with the necessary infrastructure to promote production and international commerce. To this end, the province
offers an integrated system of roads, motorways and modern airports.
The Free Customs Zone for international trade should be mentioned as well.

On the other hand, the telecommunications system implemented in the province allows voice and data transmission throughout the world by means of any technology available in the market.

Last but not least, the province offers comprehensive educational opportunities to train fully qualified professionals in the different social, technical and administrative areas every year.
